Recognition, Management, and Reporting of Pesticide Illness

This 60 minute course is designed for health care providers and will present information on how to diagnose and treat pesticide illnesses, including illnesses due to cholinesterase inhibiting pesticides, and sources of information on pesticides.  Although this course was originally developed for health care providers in California, much of the information will be applicable to healthcare providers elsewhere.

California Medical Supervision Program for Physicians who Supervise Workers Exposed to Cholinesterase-Inhibiting Pesticides

The California Medical Supervision Program is a cholinesterase monitoring surveillance program that protects pesticide handlers of cholinesterase inhibiting pesticides. This 60 minute course is for physicians who are or will be Medical Supervisors in the Program and for other health care providers such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants who participate in the Program.  This course will explain the Program and what is required of the physician Medical Supervisors.
